Season's Greetings!

The merry season is upon us,  when a slow fat man slides down the four-inch-wide chimney to our dinning room, with a giant bag full of presents, and only knowing that he will gain cookies and milk as a commission... I'm sorry. I just can't do it. If Santa Claus were to come to our home, he would have a really hard time of giving us our gifts. For starters, I wasn't joking about the four inch chimney. We really do have that.
Upon a more serious note, I can't wait for Santa Claus to come!
WOW. But really. I did have a couple of cool things and not so cool things happen around here. So in no particular order, #1: I had another basketball game, this one in town, so we didn't have to travel any where. Both the JV and the Varsity won, each by about twenty. I started and scored in the JV's, but I did not play in the Varsity. I did have a sore throat, so I was yelling very weakly. Thing #2: I completely lost in my families fantasy football playoffs. All of my players did horrible, and I got knocked out in the first round to my younger brother Judah. He really is a beast at fantasy. Thing #3: I got braces put on. Thing #4: I discovered that braces are not all that fun. I mean, they basically are pulling your teeth together or apart, and so, lots of pain. And the kind lady at the orthodontist was like 'You need to be brushing three to five times a day, and press really hard on your teeth, because if you don't, you will get yellow lines streaking across your teeth when we take the braces off. Hahahaha!' Well, maybe without the evil laughter. That is really what she said, though, and so I was thinking to myself, 'I have enough trouble remembering to bring my basketball shoes to practice, so how am I going to remember to brush my teeth five times a day? I really should have something like a sign or something to remind me.' And then it hit. I just got braces. I have like a permanent painful reminder glued to my precious teeth!
That was a tangent. Sorry. But yeah, I got braces, and I am supposed to have them on for about sixteen months. Which is, according to the kind lady, a short time. She said that most of my friends would have theirs on for longer. I feel so blessed knowing that kind lady. OK, thing #5: I got a new computer. It is a Compaq Presario CQ62-220US Notebook. With Windows 7 home premium!!! WHOOT!. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=Everyday+computing&a2=Screen+size&v2=15.0+-+16.9&series_name=CQ62Z_series&jumpid=in_R329_prodexp/hhoslp/psg/notebooks/Everyday_computing/CQ62Z_series That link will take you to Narnia. It will actually take you to Compaq's website so you can gaze with wonder on my awesome machine of power! Thing #6: My entire family, save my mother and sister, are sick. Judah has it the worst out of us all, with a fever and every thing, but Ezra and I only have sore throats. Dad has something, but I am not sure what. Thing #7: My family and I were planing on going skiing/snowboarding over Christmas break, but we decided against it because we were all under the weather.
Well, this was a long post, but I thought, since you guys have nothing else better to do with your homeschooling lives...
So! Have fun during your break from school and work, and enjoy the rest, the peace, and your family. Don't eat to many sweets, shovel your driveway, and don't forget about the fat man stuck in your chimney!

What break? I didn't get the memo! :-O

Sounds like you've got a lot going on - ESPECIALLY for a homeschooler! Stay warm up there in the frozen northland!

  2. AAAAAAAAAHHH! Why do you people not tell me when computer purchases are on the line? I would have advised you not to get a Compaq....but whatever. I'm probably the only person who cares about these things.

And your link doesn't specify what options you chose. Which hard drive did you choose? What optical drive? It merely lists the options available, not what you chose.

And I'm with Mac. WHAT BREAK?!!

  3. Well, Jeth - that's simply a matter of personal preference. You don't like Compaq, I don't like Dell. I can attest that the computer has been working great for Noah, and he really does like it a lot.

Looking forward to enjoying that break with ya, Noah! 8-)
